  • What is the difference between Beam Solo and Beam Shuttle?
  • Beam Solo is a rental and sales program specifically designed for individuals. Beam Shuttle is a rental and sales program for businesses that require a fleet of scooters to assist with day-to-day operations (ie. food delivery, supplier collections, etc.) 

  • Where is Beam Solo and Beam Shuttle available?
  • This program is available in Auckland only. 

  • Is delivery available, and how do I select it?
  • We are not normally able to offer delivery, but if you are unable to pick up please contact us and we can advise options.

  • How do I collect?
  • Collections can be made at no cost from our Auckland Central headquarters. Collections are available Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm. You can select a preferred collection date once the order has been processed - details on how to do this will be made available in the order confirmation email.  


  • Where can I ride?
  • There are no limitations on where you can and can't take your scooter within Auckland. Rental scooters are not limited to current rideshare zones. 

  • What is the maximum speed of rental scooters?
  • 25 km/h

  • Can I rent more than one Beam scooter?
  • Yes, simply adjust the quantity in your cart.

  • Are scooters foldable?
  • Unfortunately, only non-foldable models are available for rent.

  • Do I need a smartphone to operate a Beam rental scooter?
  • Yes, you will require a smart phone with mobile internet connectivity to operate Beam rental scooters. 

  • What is included in the rental fee?
  • All scooter rentals come with a free helmet, battery charger and safety briefing. Beam Solo also includes free personal accident insurance.

  • Will I be charged for trips I take on a Beam Solo or Shuttle scooter?
  • You can use your Beam rental scooter as much as you like. All use is included in the rental fee you pay.  



    • I have an issue with my ex-rental. What can I do?

    We offer a two-week limited warranty with all purchases. Please contact us for more information. Please note any attempt to alter the firmware or hardware of the scooter will end the warranty protection.

    •  Will a charger be provided?

     Yes we provide a charger and can supply a helmet on request.

    •  Can I use 3rd Party apps with my ex-rental scooter?

     Segway or other apps do not support ex-rental scooters. Please use a high security bike lock for security.
